LABORATORY DRAWING

Effective August 2, 2010, I will no longer draw blood tests in my office.

If your medical condition requires blood tests, I will give you the order for the blood test at your appointment and you will need to go to a draw station for the phlebotomy (actual blood draw).

I will order your bloodwork for your physical at the time of the physical.  This is to ensure that the bloodwork orders are coded properly to prevent any billing issues after the fact.  This will also prevent an additional blood draw if you have a finding at the time of the physical that requires additional laboratory work.  You do not need to have laboratory work done before your physical appointment.

Facilities for laboratory work are LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics.
